Look, I’m going to get right to the point. Being a people pleaser sucks! It sucks because nothing good ever comes from it.
Take it from me. I used to be a huge people pleaser. I was afraid of conflict, so I was afraid to ruffle anybody’s feathers. So I’d do whatever anybody told me to do, acted the way I thought others wanted me to act, and prayed it left them satisfied. How annoying.
However, I had to learn the hard way that being a people pleaser comes with some serious negative consequences.
So I want to warn you. Here are three reasons why being a people pleaser not only sucks, but is detrimental to your self-esteem.
